How We Research, Categorise and List Real-Money Games
This page walks through Crorepati7's research workflow — how we cluster game categories, what we verify before featuring an operator, and where we draw the line on opinions vs. facts. Hidden ranking algorithms and recycled "Top 10" lists damage player trust; we'd rather show our work.
The 13-Category Clustering Framework
Indian real-money mobile gaming is not one market — it's at least a dozen overlapping ones, each with different legal context, deposit psychology, and player intent. Lumping rummy and matka guessing into a single "casino" bucket erases the distinctions that actually matter when an Indian player decides where to deposit ₹500.
Our clustering starts from approximately 5,000 real Indian search queries, harvested from Search Console exports, Google Trends India region data, and YouTube India auto-suggest cross-checks. We deliberately rebuild Hindi-language clusters from scratch rather than translating English terms — Hindi rural and tier-2 city search behaviour produces noticeably different cluster shapes around satta king, kalyan matka, and matka guessing tips. The thirteen final categories are listed on the Crorepati7 home page.
What We Check Before Listing an App
For an app to appear in any category, we verify the following:
- Availability in India — Play Store presence, official APK, or operator website that serves Indian residents.
- Payment infrastructure — UPI support is the baseline. We note whether Paytm, PhonePe, Google Pay, Razorpay, or other rails are accepted.
- Withdrawal turnaround — we record the operator's stated SLA. Real-world payout reliability varies, see disclaimer.
- KYC requirements — Aadhaar verification, PAN linkage, document review timelines.
- Customer support — Hindi support hours, escalation paths, response benchmarks where reproducible.
- Operator track record — years live, parent company, licensing where applicable.
We do not score operators on a numeric scale. Indian regulatory ambiguity makes any "9.2 / 10" rating misleading — what matters is fit between an app's mechanics and a player's preferences, not a synthetic score.
Affiliate Disclosure
Crorepati7 has affiliate relationships with several of the operators whose apps appear on our category pages. When you tap an "Install" or "Download App" button on Crorepati7, the link is marked rel="sponsored".
If you go on to register and play, Crorepati7 may receive a commission from that operator.
This affiliate revenue funds Crorepati7's research and writing. It does not influence which operators get listed — listing decisions are based on the criteria above, not commission rates. An operator paying a higher commission does not earn a higher listing position.
Update Cadence
- Category landing pages — reviewed monthly, with page revision dates updated to reflect the most recent edit.
- Featured app slots — reviewed quarterly. We remove operators that have shut down, lost their licence, or stopped paying out.
- Compliance and disclaimer language — reviewed semi-annually, or sooner if regulation changes materially.
What We Do Not Do
We do not evaluate the legal status of any specific game or operator in any specific Indian state. Indian gaming law varies by state and changes frequently. Players are responsible for confirming legality in their own jurisdiction — see our disclaimer for context and resources.
We do not score satta matka operators against our standard framework because they operate outside the verifiable licensing system that lets us conduct meaningful checks. Satta-related category pages exist for terminology coverage and player-search relevance; they are informational rather than recommendations.
We do not provide personal financial, tax, or legal advice. Where tax or legal information appears on Crorepati7, it is generic context, not advice for a specific player's situation.
